Natural Therapy - No Need for Discount Medical Supplies for Me

I was 27 years old when I discovered that I had type II diabetes. The news fell on me like a pile of rocks. I was devastated! Born into a family where food takes priority over many other things, I simply could not imagine a life restricted with food choices and controlled portions.
Anyway, I went to the doctor and came back with a long list of medicines to be taken everyday, before and after meals, and a complete daily menu chart. I started taking the pills, kept a close eye on my readings and followed the chart as closely as was possible.
In the beginning I started to feel tired and exhausted all the time. My mouth would often turn dry and I would be sipping water most of the day. At nights, I would sometimes be restless and make several trips to the washroom to urinate.
Time went by and soon a year had passed since I was first diagnosed with diabetes. Then, one day I met an old professor at work who had recently been transferred from Asia to our office. When I refused a doughnut over tea, he got to know about my diabetes. He then proceeded to tell me how this deadly disease could be cured with herbal treatment alone.
I was amazed at all the information he gave me and started writing down everything. He had actually tried these on himself as he had been a diabetic for the last 20 years. He believed that if his diabetes could be controlled naturally, then so could mine.
He told about the great effects that Cinnamon, Fenugreek, Ginseng and Bitter Gourd have on lowering diabetes.
About 12 Fenugreek seeds were to be taken in water or warm milk daily. Cinnamon was such a fantastic herb that he believed it should be added into all our foods. It has been known to triple insulin's efficiency. He told me to keep Cinnamon powder handy and sprinkle it on everything before eating.
He also added that the Asian Ginseng is much more effective in this regard than the North American one. Bitter gourd is something else he recommended. Even though it is bitter tasting it is highly effective in lowering blood sugar. The juice must be extracted and consumed for best results.
Believe it or not, I changed my eating habits slightly and added these herbs to my foods, stopped all medication and waited for a week. Then I checked my readings. Wow my sugar had gone down to 100 mg!
Even after being on these medicines for a year, my blood sugar normally hovered between 130-140 mg. This drop in readings was simply unbelievable. And all this had happened with no pills, and just a few minor changes in my daily routine.
I am hoping that I don't need to go the medicine route again. Hey, I know where to get discount medical supplies if I do.
